Found/Stray Cat in Lilburn, GA 30047

I'm afraid that I saw this poor cat on the road in my neighborhood when I was driving home this evening. Presumably it was the victim of one of the too many reckless speeding drivers that unfortunately live in this neighborhood. I moved the body off the road a few feet onto the front lawn. I called the Gwinnett County dispatcher around 8:50pm and notified them of the poor cat. The dispatcher said they would send an animal control person to pick the cat up. Supposedly they may check to see if it has a microchip to alert its owners. I have no idea who the owners are or from what property the cat came from so I was not able to inform them of this awful news myself. The dispatcher didn't give a time as to when animal control would get there but they may have already picked up the remains. If you are the owner of this cat, you have my sincere condolences. If this is yours, please call the Gwinnett County dispatcher at or Gwinnett County animal control at (although they may not be open till later in the morning). I have never dealt with this myself, but perhaps you may be able to claim the remains from the county.
