Message from Finder

This little kitten ran up to my friend and I meowing for help. He is super friendly and affectionate and seems to be about 4-6 months old. He is very clean and calm, and seemed like a lost little baby. Any help finding either his home, if he had one, or a home for him would be greatly appreciated!

Post on Nextdoor. Ask all neighbors if this is their cat. Take to a vet, shelter or police station to scan for a microchip. Vets will do this for free. Contact local vets, shelters (SPCA, etc) and local police to see if a matching pet was reported as lost. Please do not just hand him over to anyone claiming to be the owner or that they will give him a good home. People will take animals and then sell them to dog fighting rings to be used as training bait, sell to labs to be used in experiments, or they abuse, torture them and them. Ask for ID and verify. Ask for vet or adoption records and verify. Ask to see pictures of the pet.

Bernice Marshall , I would hope the finders do not release this sweet cat and put a paper collar on him in hoping someone calls the finder? How strange and dangerous! And no need to post on the very dangerous Craigs List. The most important thing is for the finder is to file a Found report with the SPCA/Animal shelter that does intake of Found Animals, and local police. Also, Taking the kitty to be scanned for a microchip (any veterinarian, shelter or someone in rescue with a scanner can scan for free) And VERY importantly, the finder needs to ask for proof of ownership. Photos, preferably with the owners in the photos and a MUST call to their veterinarian for further proof. Of course, if this beautiful kitten is microchipped, that's proof. Thugs are claiming animals that are not theirs to abuse in every form. They use them as bait in Dogfighting Rings, to flip (sell to abusers for greed) , hoarders are grabbing free animals, and and abusers are grabbing them to be sold to laboratories. The dangerous list goes on and on. I hope the finders do not see this🙏🏻🐾😿

Get them scanned. All vets will do it for free. Put up flyers, things like that so people can see it. Also call Buck County SPCA and ask them if they can put the photo up. Call vets in general area to see if anyone has called in a panic because of their missing cat.

Shared. Please be wary of people claiming - there’s sadly people who do unsavory stuff w/free animals. PROOF- not just fakeable pics but vet records. Hope you get a free microchip check at a vet that might ID the owners. If no one comes forward and you don’t keep, you’ve gotten some rescue and shelter info. Your timing was perfect to get this baby out of the heat and to off-street safety. Shared your post madly ❤️
