Also leave an attached garage door cracked open about a foot for several days 24:7. Something may have spooked him and he is laying low. They’ll often try to return back into the home during the night. The garage gives him a safe place to hide in if so.

Cover all basis in case he wasn’t stolen. If outside access cat. Make sure to get fliers out. Door to door if possible. Check areas and ask neighbors to check where he could be trapped. This happens often. Sheds, garages, vacant homes, crawl spaces etc. Walk around softly calling and listen for faint Meows where he could be trapped. 80% of time they’re stuck inside something. Also check in person in case he was picked up at animal control. Wouldn’t rely on the phone, give them a flier and file a lost report. See site for more steps. Pet-trackerinc.org
