MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Jane Doe found me a year ago and after a couple of months letting her know she was safe...she came every day. We had chairs, sat side by side. I'd sit outside with her ALL NIGHT. At day break she'd run the same path by the church and hide somewhere. By evening she'd come back, and we'd sit together all night. She's worth the lack of sleep. She got a pretty hse, 2 of them. Blankets, heating pad, night lights. One night she got ON my lap, nose bumped me sat down, looked back up at me and put her paw on my cheek. She stared at me. As it got cold I did indeed stay outside all night holding her, keeping her warm. She's not fond of laying in her hse, just eating in it. Now....she hollars for me, climbs up my front and kisses me slobbering. I've never had a cat that LOVED me. I've had cats....Jane Doe is unlike no other. Something across the street has made her frightened. Uneasy. She freaked out Sunday on something I couldn't see or hear and took off. Then it rained. And I never saw her again. I've called and sobbed and called and sobbed....I don't know when to stop calling for her. This morning...I saw the birds circling thru the trees across the street and my guts tangled up in fear.... Jane Doe Kitty....please be okay.

Lisa Lunsford I appreciate that, thank you. She is such a regular pattern personality type cat...for her to just vanish is so unsettling. Thank you again for the advice. I've sobbed so long I think I'm dehydrating. lol

Beautiful 😻 If your kitty is fixed, it’s more than likely hiding somewhere close by. If you have a garage door, I’ve heard good success with leaving the garage door slightly cracked open so the kitty can get back underneath it with food inside and something with its scent on it Go out at dark with a flashlight and look in bushes, under cars and sewer openings. Cats that are fixed don't usually travel far. Make up flyers and go door to door up and down the block alerting your neighbors to check their garages or sheds where the cat might be trapped. Shake some treats. Put something out that smells like you or him, if he/she is close he/she may be able to pick up his scent. Make a bright sign to put in front of your house that people will see as they drive by. If cat is chipped, check with animal control and nearby shelters.
