Hapa Nakashima It seems to happen a lot up up in the Victor Valley. I believe that we have a rampant and bizarre problem with weirdos/sickos and/or sociopaths, who just want to open gates to let a dog loose, and either steal a dog for no reason, only to let them loose miles away, or just let the poor dog loose. The best solution to prevent this from happening is to NEVER leave your dog unattended in your yard, especially with the number of coyotes in the area. Always keep a leash on your pup, and don’t ever leave them off leash. As long as anyone can reach over & open a gate, it’s best to keep locks on your gates, locked. Also, make sure you get your dog microchipped and have your dog wear a collar & dog tag. Remember, dogs can end up hundreds of miles away due to many reasons, theft being the primary one.
