I am sorry your cat has yet to be found and returned and I hope he will be very soon. In the meantime there are some very good suggestions by the cat owners below, some who really understand what cats do when then are lost. Good luck to you in getting your cat back.

Check your surrounding neighbors yards and neighborhoods because he could be hiding under a shed, deck or under bushes. Check with neighbors who have garages. Go outside at night with a flashlight and a bag of treats and shake the treats while you call him. If you can borrow a humane trap put a worn article of clothing and a can of aromatic food like mackerel in it
