Message from Owner

It’s a long shot but here goes! Our sweet cat was last seen on Monday morning in our garden, and since then disappeared from the Timperley grange area. He’s a timid shy cat. Half ragdoll and half snowshoe. We’ve had him since he was 12 weeks old. We have been searching late at night every night since he’s gone missing, asked neighbours to do garage/shed checks and nothing. He’s previously got himself in to my neighbours car and sat in it for 6hours. My neighbour was unloading her shopping from her car whilst Snowy must’ve got in and didn’t realise once she’d finished so locked up and went inside her hse leaving Snowy in the car. Only when I went out looking for Snowy in the evening , I seen all the lights on in my neighbours car and went to knock on to let her know so she could save her battery. As I went past the car I saw Snowy sat in there. I’m grateful it was during the colder months, otherwise one can imagine what could’ve gone wrong. Because of this incident we know Snowy likes snooping in and out of cars, so I am wondering if this post could reach far and wide incase any cars/delivery vans etc that went through the Grange area in Timperley on the morning of Monday the 13th of July may have carried an unexpected passenger with them and potentially dropped them to a whole new and alien location. Please please keep an eye out for this beloved member of our family and help me get Snowy back home!

Time is of the essence. Cats don’t go far from home. Don’t wait for social media to bring your cat home, you need to be proactive. Leave the door/window the kitty exited from open 24/7. If unable, then crack garage door open 24/7 enough to get in. Hang worn clothes and/or your pillow case in a tree or on top of shrubs to create a scent trail. Knock on neighbors doors with a picture asking them to keep an eye out. See if they can check Ring cameras for any sighting. Post signs with kitty’s picture as many as possible, include surrounding neighborhoods. Go out late at night with a flashlight, shaking a bag of food, calling kitty’s name, looking under shrubs for their shining eyes. Post on Ring, Nextdoor and check shelters. Don’t give up. 💕

Give all details of Snowy to the local postal sorting office and also to your own postman/postwoman. Posties are great as they go everywhere and see all. Good luck 🐈

—Do Not leave out litter box. —Go to every business nearby and neighbor and ask them to check crawl spaces, basements, garages, sheds, under decks, etc. —you should check and have neighbors and businesses also Check water heater closet, behind oven or washing machine dryer etc - any space a cat could get into —Flyer if they aren’t home. All over. —Posters. —They’re usually very close by unless they got chased. —Check up trees at night. ******❤️❤️ Dusk (and even night, but especially dusk) and Dawn - these are good times to sit outside and talk loud enough for pets to hear you, but without panic in your voice. Talk to yourself. Hum. A friend’s cat went missing and she almost gave up after 2 weeks. She was sitting outside on her front steps one early evening and just talking and singing, sleep deprived. Then she was talking to herself. Her cat walked right up to her. It can’t hurt. Hear mama’s or papa’s voice, without panic. —Put reward amount on flyer 🙏 —when you check for messages here, check “message requests” - usually 3 lines/bars or so to click to find that option.

Hi If you haven’t already done so, please also put something with their scent and your scent, such as their bedding, hoover contents etc outside to help your pet follow the scent home. Also, get neighbours to check out buildings. If you have a smartphone, Nextdoor is a good app to download to send alerts to users in your neighbourhood. Peg out some clothes aswell with a scent in it as it allows them to follow the scent home. I hope he is home soon x
