Theo's Owner Says

I am completely overwhelmed and still in shock, but after 17 days, our 20 and a half year-old cat, Theo, HAS RETURNED HOME!!!! 💕 He was found at Audobon and Clayton, thanks to neighbors who had seen the poster I put in their mailbox. I am so, so touched by the community support and all the kind, loving people who gave me hope when I was at my worst. I tearily offered the $300 reward to my neighbors, and my neighbor declined and said, if I were to do anything, to donate to the Humane Society. I will be making a $150 donation to the Humane Society and a $150 donation to the APA in her honor!!

Make sure to let your local animal control officers, shelters and vets know he's missing so they can keep an eye out. Mail carrier too.

Put litter box outside and go out at night with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes and they usually don't go far

Poor beautiful baby. I'm so sorry and I hope he's home soon. Be sure you check APA, put up a sign or signs on your street and nearby, let local police and animal control know, hand out flyers and search everywhere in the neighborhood! Hopefully someone will see the signs with Theo's picture. 🙏

Margie Marshall oh, good idea maybe his favorite cat bed that smells like him too! Thank you so much for your empathy. I am trying to stay hopeful. I appreciate your kindness, and hug those kitties!!

Liz Hustedt yes I would definitely leave food out and if you have something that he is especially fond of and nice and smelly that might help too. I hope he shows up really soon and I do feel you're sadness because I know how I would feel if either of mine got out. I get upset even when I know the doors have not been opened and the cats are both in the house but I can't find one or the other and sometimes it turns out they're in the last closet that we had opened and I feel bad that happened but at least they are in the house.
