She was probably dumped. If you need a permanent home for her please contact me. I'll take her to the vet and she can join the pack. Lol

Just to clarify, all things that need to be done have been. Shelter has been notified, microchip scanned (only info on there was fruitless), posted on multiple FB groups (including the ones listed), and posted on multiple online sites (which is how it ended up here). I know how crowded our shelters are and how much worse she will fare there. We are already willing to foster. This is an informational post, not one seeking advice. Thank you for understanding.

Augustina gave WRONG INFO when found in City of Sac NOT Sac County its Frontstreet shelter jurisdiction...Any shelter can do first scan For microchip but if not detected you need to make sure you have Frontstreet shelter do a second one. They are so tiny and like the piece of rice many times they get missed on one scanner and detected on the next.You need to put on Natomas Lost and Found pets Facebook group,Nextdoor App,Neighborsring App,and North Natomas Neighbors Facebook Group. You need to inform Frontstreet shelter you found the dog and if you're willing to foster they will pay for vaccines a microchip and spay/neuter.Even if microchips detected please make sure you get proof of ownership for its safety. It will be really really extra hard if you leave the dog at the shelter because of its age and already being confused even were especially if having trouble seeing a little bit and hearing

Seniors get dumped a lot. I have a microchip reader and can stop by and check for a chip just in case he wasn't

Require proof of ownership. Post on Nextdoor and post flyers. File online found reports with shelters. Take by vet to scan for chip.
