Message from Owner

We recently moved and they escaped. They usually come back in 24ish hours. We haven’t seen them and I miss my babies. Maui is SUPER friendly while Hunny is more skittish (feral turned hse cat). THEY ARE BOTH FIXED!!

Hayley Renee Sauls If you haven't already, put up flyers EVERYWHERE between your new house and your old house. All around both neighborhoods. Let all your current and former neighbors know that they've escaped and are missing. Give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case they turn up. Ask all of them about any local TNR groups or community cat feeders, and give them flyers too, in case they turn up at a colony somewhere looking for food. Ask your neighbors to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Look up in trees in case they were chased. Walk the entire neighborhood in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Call them in a regular voice (not panicked) and gently shake a treat bag if they like that kind of stuff. They're probably hunkered down and hiding nearby, and may not have taken off to the old house yet, getting their bearings. They may not answer you when you call, but that's just instinctual as a vocal cat gives away their location to predators. Put their beds/ blankets and some of your dirty clothes on your porches and around the perimeter of your yard. When they come home, please get them microchipped and be sure to register the chips online. You might also consider building or buying a catio (some people have bought pre-made chicken coops and "attached" them to their houses with kitty access through a window); or, if you have a fenced-in yard, consider putting up cat-fencing or coyote rollers on top of the fence to keep them safely in their yard (both can be DIY). Good luck ❤

Could they have tried to get back to their old house, cats will try to go back home. Also look in trees and storm drains but with the rain I doubt if they would be in the drains, you might try leaving a door open and putting some sardines in oil just inside the door. Someone might have taken them in, you might also try doing a walk thru at Greenville County Animal Control on Furman Hall Road, walk thru don't take their word for it. Post everywhere if yu need a list of sites just ask. I am sharing this on many Nextdoors, my FB and Lost Animals in Greenville. Good Luck
