Liam Kozlosky Hi I'm am expert on escaped and lost cat behavior and I can tell that it is a coincidence that putting his dirty litter box worked! Most escaped cats aren't actually lost just too scared to come out of hiding. It's very dangerous to put dirty litter boxes outside because it attracts coyotes and territorial community cats who don't like new cats in the area. They'll wait and attack any new cat. Also, could you kindly delete the Pawboost post? There are a lot of us who work to reunite cats with owners and so cats it's a waste of time when cats are still posted as missing. Thank you and I'm so glad he came home!

Hey guys, quick update. Timmy is fine now. I am the son of Timmy‘s mom and he is my cat. If you are missing a cat then definitely put your litter box outside of your door. It works like a dream. The cat came straight in the house. He was a little bit scared, but it worked out. One other tip is do NOT pay people that claim that their neighbor has your cat we got two people telling us that in the second one happened right after he walked in the door they are filthy scammers trying to take your money and take advantage of you. Thank you to all who tried helping find Timmy.
