MESSAGE FROM OWNER
Last Sunday (2-18) Slim, and his girlfriend Six, got out of our yard in a spot where the pigs had started to undermine the fence. They were possibly spotted on the Kapoho end of Beach Rd that night. Slim was a flow dog in 2018, no , no owner, and (though full grown) weighed less than my Jack Russell. In 2020 he ran into a a steel rod and punctured his lung. The vet managed to work a miracle, but he still needed to be kept still and calm for several days. We ended up together on a mattress in the living room for nearly a week. Since then he's been by my side nearly 24-7, he always rides shotgun (while the rest of the pack are stuck in the back seat) and always wants to be as close to me as possible. Six is the newest member of our family. She got her name because she wasn't intended to be a forever dog. She was another lost (or dumped) puppy we found on the side of the road. She's one of the most gentle dogs I've ever met (especially for her age) and she took to Slim bees to honey. Initially Slim wanted nothing to do with her, but after a few weeks the two became inseparable. She helped a lot with Slim's separation anxiety and he helped her gain confidence. They were too sweet together so I couldn't bring myself to adopt Six out. I'm hopeful they're still together and looking out for one another, but I'm also worried sick and fear the worst. Please help us bring them .
