Christa Novelli ....I tried sending her a message about getting a live trap out there because he was almost hit. I also suggested a rescue group to help. I am praying it was not him. He has to be so scared. Just heartbreaking!

Mary Zito I hope not as well and really don’t want to be the bearer of terrible news. If he was my dog, I would want to know so I could try to confirm or rule out, though.

Christa Novelli..... I pray it was not Ryder. I was so afraid of this outcome, because someone said they saw him cross 287 and was almost hit. We will have to wait and hear from Amy, the owner. Prayers it is not Ryder.

Amy Henderson Chase ..... Amy, I am praying this isn’t Ryder. This was in the post. Have you checked with Animal Control??! My husband is a commercial truck driver and he said that he saw a dead dog on the side of Owl Canyon Rd and 287 this morning at about 10 am. He said it was very large and had a white underbelly with a little brownish on it and a fluffy tail. He said it looked like an Akita or possibly husky. He is telling me it was twice the size of our 60# dog. When he came back down the canyon 30 mins later, it was gone, so he doesn’t know if someone picked it up or what happened. I really hope this was not Ryder, but wanted to pass this on in case so someone can check with animal control or anyone else who would have picked up a dog who had passed. Is anyone in touch with Ryder’s owner?

Since you have had a sighting of Ryder, please put out a live trap. Rescues can help you get one and set it. This way he will get food, water. Put his bed in there so he gets the scent. He can be easily caught. It is paramount that you take steps so he does not get hit by traffics traveling, especially at dark. Praying you can catch him soon. He has to be scared and confused.

Where was the accident? My parents live on Owl Canyon. They're retired and home all the time I can ask of they saw him..
