Maxwell Male Cat

LOST PET ID: 70917105

Chantilly, VA 22033

Hi All.... Maxwell is still missing. He's been gone for almost three months now. I wanted to reshare this in case someone has seen him. Please let me know. He's a very resourceful cat and it's entirely possible that he's either still roaming, or someone picked him up and decided to keep him. We had a very special bond, and it's been very difficult without him. I don't know if the photos have been posted again since the original share, so I thought I'd post new photos and note some of his features in case you're looking at found cat listings or see a brown tabby running around. He's 1.5 years old, neutered with his claws. He's a brown tabby, but can look pretty grey depending on the light. Rusty brown nose, no white bibs or socks, except a little white around his nose, around his eyes and under his chin. Defined stripes, two rings around his neck and spots/stripes on his tummy. His tummy is kind of orange/white, green eyes and he has ear tufts! If you find a cat that resembles Maxwell, please let me know. I'm in Fair Oaks next to the Mall at Legato Rd. He possibly crossed 50 using the tiny ramp across to Penderwood. Or he used the drainage system to go anywhere! Fyi, I look at Pawboost and two other daily listings from shelters, for all new and active intakes. Maxwell came to us when our life was very difficult, and we were losing hope. This little feisty feral kitten was injured and he became our full time project to show him life didn't have to be so hard. In turn, he gave us hope, love, joy and endless humor. Please help us get him back.

Frequently Asked Questions

I lost my pet. What should I do?

Take advantage of online platforms – they help you get the word out, quickly and easily. You can report your lost pet to PawBoost in no time flat. We’ll send an email alert to our local members, post to the PawBoost-powered Facebook page for your area, add your pet to our lost & found, and make a lost pet flyer – all for free.

Other sites that help you raise local awareness for your lost pet with minimal time and effort are Nextdoor.com – a PawBoost partner – and Craigslist. Both of these sites have very active lost & found sections mainly used for lost pets. We highly recommend you use these resources in addition to PawBoost!

Visit your local shelters and animal control agencies in person. Details can get lost in translation over the phone and that might lead to missed connection.

If chipped, make sure your pet’s microchip is registered and up to date. If you don’t know your pet’s chip manufacturer or number, your vet should be able to help locate this information.

Put up flyers and tell your neighbors to be on the lookout. The more you engage the Leesburg community, the better your chances of a happy reunion!
