Middle Kitty Male Cat
REUNITED PawBoost ID: 72888635
Sonoma, CA 95476
Here's a bit of information I've shared with some folks and wanted to share with all of you… I think he's been in the neighborhood this whole time (hes a housecat who was never outside before this except once to get a nail clipping and when he initially came to our hse almost a year and a half ago) but staying in neighbors backyards because it's just too noisy near the streets. When I saw him, he was still twitching his head around at every sound paranoid like he does at home so I'm pretty sure that he has been terrified for three weeks straight. When I found him (thanks to my neighbors ring camera ) he would let me pick him up for a few moments but when I tried to put him in his crate to bring him home he wouldn't let me, understandably. I had to use a cat trap I borrowed from pets lifeline to get him. He was doing little soft meows very fast when he saw me and obviously was happy to see me but was also very stressed and so was keeping a distance. I don't think I ever heard him meow before this but I have been listening for meows anyway over the past few weeks while looking for him knowing that this is obviously different. He may have been meowing to me the whole time I've been out looking for him calling his name but they are so quiet (probably so to not attract predators) there's no way I would've heard him. He's very thin scruffy and dirty so I think he's just been out and about the whole time. He's a hse cat so I don't think he knew how to get home and he definitely does not have street smarts. I have other cats and the females aren't sure what to make of him and are hissing (the little brats) but the adult male is acting very supportive towards him cleaning him and touching his paw with his own paw etc. (I have five cats). In the middle of the night, he came up to me pushing himself into me so hard, doing biscuits, purring, and biting me with love bites in a way that I have never seen him do before. He was feeling pure joy about being home. I didn't know cats could show such tremendous affection! He's already looking better today than he did last night when I first brought him home. I have a vet appointment scheduled for him next week and asked that they let me know of any cancellations so I can try and get him in sooner. Thank you so so so much for everybody's help and support! I appreciate you.🧡
