Post on petfbi.org, the Nextdoor app, and the Neighbors by Ring app. You do not need to have Ring to post, and someone may have seen your cat on the Ring cam. Indoor cats usually stay within a five-house radius, so you must find ways to lure your cat out of hiding. Place strong-smelling food (such as sardines or tuna) and check regularly to see if it goes missing. Position it in front of any security cameras if you have them. If your cat is microchipped, contact the microchip company and confirm that your information is REGISTERED with your most current contact details. While you’re out talking to neighbors and/or distributing flyers, ask them to check under decks, in sheds/garages, and find out if anyone is feeding strays nearby, in case your cat shows up there. Be cautious of people trying to scam you by requesting a 6-digit code, asking for money to help find your cat, or claiming to have your cat but needing payment upfront.
