Awww. Your kitty must be very frightened. Everything's so strange and different. He shouldn't have gone too far yet. Get a flashlight and some smelly food like tuna or something he likes and start looking under nearby bushes around to the side and behind the motel. Call gently. Look for his eyes to shine in the flashlight. If you see him don't rush toward him just coax him towards you with the food. If you have a litter box of his that he has used, leave it near the door where you are or near your vehicle like underneath of it. Keep checking to see if he is returned to it don't give up calling for him.
