Cat is Close by. Check at night under bushes and porches etc with flash light for glow of thr eyes. Leave (ideally in a trap) smelly fish (like mackerel) or hot foods (my cat came back after 16 days to my neighbors grilling burgers). Call at night. Post on pawboost and print physical posters. Put posters in page protectors with closed side up and bottom taped closed. Put them up in area and knock on neighbors doors to ask to look and keep an eye out and give them a flyer for if they see cat. https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/ https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/intersection-alerts/ Also, I used https://www.professionalpettrackers.com/

Thank you everyone, we are continuing the search! Unfortunately I’ve been receiving texts from people sending me AI made photos saying they found her and are asking for a reward! But thank you everyone who is continuing to help!

Copied and pasted: Helping animals isn’t just about charity. It’s about compassion, empathy, and recognizing that every living creature shares this planet with us. They experience fear, pain, joy, and love just as we do. When people choose to care for them, they’re not only improving an animal’s life but also making the world a kinder place for all. The beauty of it is that you don’t have to be rich, famous, or an expert to help. Sometimes, it’s as simple as giving fresh water to a thirsty stray, driving a lost pet to safety, or supporting local rescue groups. In a world where animals often face neglect, abuse, and abandonment, those who help them are true everyday heroes. May we all be inspired to lend a hand and create a future where compassion for animals is the norm, not the exception. 🐾❀️ You might like animals more than humans because they offer uncomplicated, unconditional love and companionship without judgment, expectations, or the complexities of human social dynamics, which can be appealing after negative experiences with people. People may also feel a strong protective instinct toward animals due to their perceived innocence and vulnerability, tapping into innate desires to care for the helpless. This preference is a normal and valid emotional response for many, even if the bonds with animals differ from human ones. Here are some key reasons people might feel this way: Unconditional Love and Acceptance: Animals often provide affection without judgment, criticism, or demands, making them very comforting companions. Simplicity and Lack of Expectations: Animals don't have complex social needs or hidden agendas; they are straightforward and predictable, offering a simpler form of connection than human relationships. Protection and Innocence: Many people feel an instinct to protect animals because they are seen as innocent, vulnerable, and often helpless, similar to a child. Past Negative Experiences: Previous hurt or poor treatment from other humans can lead people to prefer the company of animals, who are less likely to intentionally cause pain. Relaxing Presence: The act of interacting with animals can be soothing and grounding, with studies showing people may subconsciously match their heartbeats and breathing to animals. Emotional Connection without Complex Communication: While humans can be challenging to understand, some people feel they can more easily connect with and understand animals, especially through their body language and tone of voice. Appreciation for Nature: For some, a preference for animals stems from a deeper appreciation for the natural world and a desire to align with living beings in balance with their environment. πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

I am not an expert, but after ours went briefly missing I have a few tips to share. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Look in storm drains. Bend down and look, dont assume they can hear you calling for them. Even if you are next to it calling out, they may not hear. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Walk the surrounding areas during quite times of the day, especially in late at night and early mornings. Take treats to shake or cans of food to tap. Cats are most likely to be active and venturing out of hiding during those times. Cats are naturally more active during dusk and dawn, and may be less likely to be seen during the day. Additionally, many cats will attempt to return home within the first week, often in the middle of the night. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Don't put out their litter, but do put out a load of your laundry. Your baby knows your scent. Litter might attract territorial aggressive strays or ferals that might fight or chase away your baby. They won't care about your laundry though. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Tell your neighbors. Ask the delivery people, garbage & recycling people to keep an eye out. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Notify the microchip company and make sure they are still in their system πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Use free online sources like Canva to make flyers to put up. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Contact the local shelters to alert them. They will check the pets that came in and will be on the look out for yours when new ones come in. They also have resources/suggestions, and can loan you traps. **if you use a trap, check it often as raccoons will injure trapped cats. Do not leave it alone over night. ⚠️ Set your alarm to wake up to check it πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Contact the vets in the surrounding area. Someone might take your pet in to see if they have a chip. Leave your info with them just in case someone does. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈReach out to local rescues to alert them. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Register them on websites like Petco Lost Love and PawBoost. One will create a flyer for you to print out and both can be used to share on social media. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Check out websites like 24PetConnection , nextdoor neighbors, and the shelters periodically to see if they have been listed as found. πŸˆβ€β¬›βœ”οΈ Don't give up.
