Rent or borrow a humane trap. The SPCA and other animal shelters rent them out for $100. When you return the trap you get your $100 back. Place the trap near where the cat escaped. Put some of the cat's favorite food and treats inside of the trap along with an article of your clothing with your scent on it. This method worked for me on two different occasions. If you trap the wrong cat or some other animal, put a blanket over the trap leaving the door exposed. Stand behind the trap and release the animal. Reset the trap. Time is of the essence so do this asap. Good luck and God bless.

Try lostmykitty.com they have a service that sends out a lost pet alert to the phones in your area with a description and your phone number asking people to check their bats, garages and sheds. There is a fee, but that’s how I found my cat. If you can print out flyers, give them to your mail carriers and your neighbors and put them on their porches as well as on telephone poles. Also give some to the animal shelters and the veterinarians offices. If there are businesses nearby, ask if you can put a flyer in their window 🙏💔

Finding missing cats is about 2 things: food and cameras. If you have a camera on your house, put a dish of a fish flavor canned food out around 8pm and keep a bowl of dry cat food out there 24/7. Check your cameras every morning to see if he came to eat. Cats come out in the middle of the night when we are asleep. If your home doesn’t have a camera, get a cellular trail cam from Walmart. Point it at the dish of food. When the cam senses motion at the food dish, it’ll send a pic to your cell phone. I’m sure he hasn’t gone too far. If you see him on camera at night, watch for him around the same time the next night, & if you see him, quietly open the door and see if he’ll come in or if he’ll let you pick him up and bring him in. If not, put a humane trap there the next night same time. Make fliers and give to all nearest neighbors. Put 1 in the local grocery store. The more people you have watching out for him the better. Just keep putting food out at night and checking cameras. It shouldn’t take long for him to show up at the food dish. Praying you find him 🙏🙏

Get proactive and borrow a trap from your Vet or local animal shelter. Set the trap close to where the cat got out. Put food in the trap and put a Tshirt of owner for scent. Cover the trap with a towel or cat’s blanket.
