Happy to hear that he is home and safe! I had a male cat who I would let outside, supervised only. I turned my back one day, just for a minute and he was gone. We called and called but he didn't answer. I put up flyers everywhere but expected the worst, I'm in a rural area. I got a call after a day and a half from someone a half a mile away, he had been in her yard! He came home on his own after about 50 hours, we were so relieved! Never wanting to go through that again, we had an area 15' long and 10' wide fenced in up against the back of the house, including fencing on the ceiling. Installed a cat door in a window and built stairs so they can easily climb down to the grass, we even put a dog house in the area. Now they can go in and out at will and they're safe!
