Leave open a garage door, sliding patio door, window, etc.
Cats will often hide during the day and move under the cover of darkness and sneak back into the house.
Several cats have returned to their owners this way recently. It is effective.
Also, keep walking your neighborhood, they usually don’t go very far but can be scared and hiding. Check under decks, bushes, or just sit quietly for hours to see if you see him or hear him.
See if any neighbors have Ring/doorbell cameras or other cameras and ask them to check their footage to see if they see him.
Also think about setting a humane trap. Our local Centre County PAWS has them to loan. You get your deposit back when you return it. Bait the trap with a food your cat loves. You have to constantly check the trap though. You might catch a wild animal and that is super stressful for the animal (just release it asap), plus, in this heat, it can be dangerous. But if you can check a trap every hour of put a camera on it, it is a good way to catch your cat. You may have to camouflage the trap a bit with a blanket or tree branches. Traps can look scary.Read More
