Message from Finder

This sweet girl approached me today while I was walking on a trail. She was extremely friendly, came right up to me, allowed me to pet her, and once i gained enough of her trust she even let me carry her home. She has no collar, but she appears very well cared for and may be someone’s missing pet. She is currently safe, has food, water, and a warm place to stay while I try to find her family. If you think this may be your cat or recognize her, please send me a message with a photo or a description so I can make sure she gets back to the right home. Please share to help find her owner. ❤️

His contact animal control to see if anyone reported missing if you or any of your neighbors have a ring camera. You can post on the ring camera. Also see if it’s chipped by bringing it to animal control.

Jessica V Fonicello I understand your concern Jessica . I didn’t take her with the intention of keeping someone else’s pet. She approached me on a trail, had no collar or identification, and was extremely friendly. Since it was late at night, I brought her somewhere safe, gave her food and water, and immediately posted in local lost pet groups to try to find an owner. If she does belong to someone, I would be more than happy to reunite her with them. That’s the entire reason I made the post. In the meantime, she’s safe indoors while I try to determine whether she’s lost, abandoned, or an indoor/outdoor cat whose family is looking for her.

So could be someones friendly indoor/outdoor whom would have gone home but you car-napped her?? How is it? The people don’t realize that allowing your cat to go outside is legal in the state of Connecticut and a stray or abandoned cat typically does not look this healthy🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ taking a cat that doesn’t belong to you without confirming it’s a lost or stray cat is not “rescuing”
