Jakey is a 12 year old boy. He is an indoor cat but recently has been lounging in backyard. He snuck out the fence last night (June 15). Jakey is skittish/scared. Please call if you see him.

Please place his bedding outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing front and back door with a can of tuna on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well. Also vacuumed home dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home enterence . Show your neighbors a picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call immediately. Go early in the morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. scare neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera to monitor and see if the cat is around your house . Best of luck finding your kitty 🙏 ❤️🐾🏡

Shared. If you have not yet done so, ASAP notify Mississuaga Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Carefully check around your home and property, focusing on small, hidden spots like closets, dresser drawers and hidden nooks and crannies, as cats often hide nearby when scared. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Cats will usually stay near the door they left for a day or two before searching for food. Note that intact male cats can travel long distances in search of females in heat and have trouble finding their way home. Leave his used littler and some food and water in hidden places near the door he left now and check later this evening. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5-10 block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make an loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe

JAKEY is adorable. Now let’s find him. He will be very nervous and likely hiding not far from your home. When you’re out searching this evening take a flashlight with you. The light will shine off his eyes and makes it easier to locate him. Look under every veranda and bush and any tiny place he may be hiding. Ask your neighbours to search their garage and under their porch or perhaps they will allow you to. He may have also climbed up a tree, so look there as well. Take a bag of treats and shake them while calmly calling his name. Put up posters and contact shelters in your area every 3 days to see if he has been turned in. If you haven’t yet gotten him micro chipped, please do, so should this happen again he can be returned to you. GOOD LUCK ❤
