Put out your worn clothing and his bed / blanket - if he is disoriented, the scent will help him find his way home. Go out in the early hours of the morning and shake the treat bag and call his name quietly. Take a flashlight as his eyes will shine. Crack the garage door and/or house window so he can make his way inside if he comes home. Make posters and flyers and get them up and out asap! Call all the vets and shelters in your area. Hopefully he is microchipped and someone takes him in to be scanned. When he comes home, keep him inside as there are endless dangers out there for roaming cats! It is our responsibility to keep our pets safe. Good luck, I hope you find him! 😿

Have you filed a lost report with OHS (can do on-line)? Contact the chip company to list as missing and to ensure your contact info is up to date. Put his carrier outside along with something with your scent on it. Cats don't generally travel far and are usually found hiding 7-10 houses away - take a flyer with note door-to-door asking neighbours to check their sheds/garages/under decks and door cams. Posters up for blocks in every direction as many people are not on social media. Use a flashlight to check under porches/decks/covered BBQs/bushes and up in trees his eyes will reflect in the light. If not done already, send a p.m. to Ottawa and Valley Lost Pet Network and they will post for you, also post on Lost & Found Pets Of Ottawa And Surrounding Areas.

Please place his bedding outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing front and back door with a can of tuna on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well. Also vacuumed home dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home enterence . Show your neighbors a picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call immediately. Go early in the morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Tell neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera to monitor and see if the cat is around your house . Best of luck finding your kitty 🙏 ❤️🏡🐾
