3 kittens 3 adult cats one extremely underweight

Message from Finder

Help needed with kittens. My friend and I found a dead kitten on the road in balloch, when we placed it in a box to get a chip scanned we ended up realising there has been a small family of kittens dumped, some of them are very underweight and looking like they need medical help. Unfortunately SSPCA was shut as well as cats protection. If anyone knows any cat rescuer/s that could help please message me as I can’t take them in.

Hi all, Myself and another volunteer plan to set up traps tomorrow evening (wed 26th) at the site. Can we ask that from tomorrow evening, can everyone keep clear of the location (an audience may prevent the cats from coming out)? We would also be extremely grateful if people don’t put any more food out from tomorrow morning - we need them to be hungry so they enter the traps, which will contain the only available food source. Once we’ve set up the traps, we will remain on site, watching from a distance with the aim of safely securing as many as we can. This will also enable us to release and reset if any wildlife or other cats enter the traps. We really appreciate all the offers of support and assistance, and for all of you who have been feeding and keeping an eye out for them. I know they’re very cute, but they are extremely vulnerable right now - mum is at risk of being impregnated again, as are any female kittens (we suspect that one of the young adults is pregnant from seeing her tonight). Thank you for all your kindness and understanding 🐾💜🐾

We managed to get this boy/girl, he/she was in the same place but the mum of the kittens was very unhappy with them being there, he was eating all the food left out for the kittens and the mum, unsure wether they are owned/lost but they are very underweight, I will be taking them into the vets tomorrow to get looked at and scanned for a chip♥️ if anyone knows this cat please let me know!

Leeann Dunn Lack of funding would not be the issue here. Lack of available spaces to take the cats into care would be the reason we are unable to help.
