Before you take kitty🐱for a microchip scan, please can you check with your nearby neighbours by door knocking & asking them if they know whose cat he or she is? - Please don’t hand the cat 🐈 over to any potential owner without them providing strong evidence of ownership or by having the cat’s microchip scanned first. Be aware that some people may create fake (AI created photos) of cats, so be cautious if sent or shown photos like that. - I recommend that you also post on these Facebook groups: 1. ‘Pets of Perth - Lost & Found’ 2. ‘Lost and found pets in Perth’ 3. ‘Cats of Perth lost and found’ 4. ‘Western Australian Lost Pets Register - WALPR’. - Also post on your local community group(s). - It might help you to keep a list of which Facebook groups that you post on about the cat to help to make it easier if you receive any potential leads or helpful advice. - Do you have a safe cat 🐈 carrier to transport them to the vet clinic in? If not, you could ask someone from this group to lend you one. Finally, check with a ranger at your local council pound to see if anyone has reported the cat as lost. If kitty is outside, please can you leave him or her fresh bowls of water 💦 & dry food outside in the shade of your house? - If kitty is inside with you please can you feed him or her & give her fresh water?
