Suzan Reynolds Is there a list somewhere online of the shelters that service Garden Grove? I've tried looking online and been redirected to Huntington Beach. Is this the only shelter that services Garden Grove? Also, is there an optimal search radius? We want to be as effective as possible. The help and instruction from you as well as from the rest of this group has been invaluable. I thank you so very, very much. 🙏

Jay Dee I just read where a cat that was lost for over 2 months was found and brought to the shelter - the owner said it was a true miracle because of the length of time the cat was missing. Never give up - miracles happen daily.

Suzan Reynolds In contact with the GG police. Spoke to them last week, yesterday, and today. They have been awesome. No, Blue Boy isn't microchipped; it's "on our list". Blue Boy's medical bills and the medical bills of a couple of feral cats in our neighborhood put a dent in our budget. But we do realize how important that is, for sure. We've reached out to our vet clinics and I've sent them relevant info w/pics. Thanks for the other suggestions.

Jay Dee Good idea to err on the side of caution. I hope you find him and if he was taken if you can find out who (what person) takes the strays and do they have a rescue or do they bring them to the shelter? Is he micro chipped in case he is brought to the shelter? Here's hoping for a positive outcome.

Suzan Reynolds I think I'll do both. Tear offs and put number on the poster. People may take pictures so I'll make the contact information prominent. We were finally able to connect with two of our neighbors in past couple of days. One neighbor said Blue Boy would visit his yard and he would pet him. We never knew that. Because he's so very friendly (and EXTREMELY nosey) He and my mom believe that he may have been mistaken as a stray and been taken. Still, erring on the side of caution and implementing as many of the suggestions here as possible. Thank you and everyone here for your compassion and support. 🧡

Ruth Olafsdottir We've been able to speak with more of our neighbors. One neighbor he visited his yard frequently. The neighbor talked about petting him & how friendly he was - unbeknownst to us until today. He and my mom believe he may have been taken.

Some people say to use brightly colored posters - and yes - put your phone number on the poster (it is up to you if you want to do the tear off OR if you want to put your phone number on the poster itself) so that the person can contact you if they spot the cat. I wish you all the best and hope he finds his way home. Leave an access point for him to get back in the house. Sharing a success story -one girl sprayed her perfume on the 4 tires of her car and the cat was found under the car - meaning the cat followed a familiar scent.

Suzan Reynolds Question: in putting up posters. Should I put my phone number in "tear offs" at the bottom of the poster? In addition to putting the phone number on the poster itself? Any suggestions to be as effective as possible are welcome. Thank you.
