Description

MISSING ORANGE TABBY CAT – BELLEVUE/GRAND AREA Our orange tabby, Blitzen, is missing from the Bellevue/Tecumseh area in Old South. He is an 8-year-old male cat who was recently adopted and is not familiar with being outside. He may be scared and hiding, and he may not respond to the name Blitzen as he doesn’t know it well. He is not wearing a collar. He is microchipped. Please keep an eye out and check garages, sheds, under decks, porches, and other sheltered areas. If you see him, please message me with the location. We’re hoping to get this sweet boy home safely.

Blitzen's Owner Says

If this is an indoor only cat that never goes out, look close. Indoor only cats when lost get scared and hide because it is unknown territory and usually do not come out when you call. Usually are within 3 or 4 houses . Put out something with your scent such as a piece of clothing or blanket. Call at dusk, dawn and night and shake the treats. Get in your neighbour's yards and look under decks, sheds, in trees, bushes, in garages, under vehicles and hood or anywhere they can hide. Put up lots of posters. If you are searching at night, use a flashlight as their eyes glow in the dark. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=388310901737884

Get out and walk the blocks! Post posters in several blocks! They don't usually go far! Ask residents to look in sheds garages anywhere they can hide! Look up in trees where they go for safety! Look in bushes Join neighborhood groups! Best time to search is the middle of the Night 3-5 am Put a cardboard box with something with your scent outside! LOOK IN TREES! SHEDS GARAGES ANY ITEMS WITH A TARP on it they will try to come home in the middle of the night in most cases
