I had taken my cat to Bird Island where I was staying with friends, plus she couldn't get hit by a car!! friend dropped a bag of ice and the sound scared her and she ran off into the woods. I've gone back to look for her a few times, but now nobody is staying on the island. I pray animal rescue has her. Kitty is her name I rescued her since she was a baby and love her to pieces and want her home very much pls text me at is she is found.

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Mainly their litter box and sprinkle their used litter around the yard as they'll recognize the smell and it'll deter other animals from coming around. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one and to check their cameras in case they appeared on them to get a sense of direction they could be. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

I’m very sorry she’s missing since late August. (Black cat with white flea collar) This is what comes up about Bird Island. Bird Island is protected. How were you even allowed to stay there? Bird Island in Port Orange is a small mangrove island and designated Critical Wildlife Area located in the Halifax River (Intracoastal Waterway), just south of the Dunlawton Avenue Bridge. It serves as an important nesting and roosting rookery for brown pelicans, egrets, herons, and other coastal birds. While you can easily view the birds from the nearby Port Orange Causeway Park or as you pass by on the water, public access to the island itself is restricted by the FWC during peak nesting season (January 1 through August 31) to protect the wildlife.
