I found this cat today in Astoria on 28th Ave. She came up to me and my boyfriend crying, seemed lost and sat by us. we took her in and are going to the vet to check for a microchip but she is very sweet and seems clean, fed, and comfortable with humans.

Thanks for bringing inside to safety, food and water. Can you take it to a vet to scan for chip? The vet may also recognize the kitty and be able to contact its owners. Check with other local vets as well and contact the police. Also post fliers. And beware of bad actors!!! Also keep checking Nextdoor and Pawboost for cats found in and near your zip code.
