Dawne Amtmann Bliss hopefully he's just hunkered down and too fearful to respond. That's why they use the opportunity of darkness, often between the hours of one and four to sneak in. They're being quiet because they don't want to get their location away to predators.

Vivien Cosner I walked all along the entire greenbelt shaking his bag of dry--i opened his wet can at 3 am when its silent out and poured dry into a stainless steel bowl so it was on the louder side--he loves to eat--i cant understand why hes gone -it kills me

Dawne Amtmann Bliss athletic little thing! I know you're probably doing this, but maybe bang a can of cat food once in a while to get his attention.🙏

Dawne Amtmann Bliss They can be easily slid into doors ( legal) and put into the mailboxes after the mailman comes ( not legal but all you’d get is a fine or a warning at most. I returned a lost cat who was in my garage because there was a flyer in my mailbox. )

Leave an entrance open, even crack window that he can sneak back in under the cover of darkness. Many hide during the day and won't respond to being called , but will sneak back in if possible.
