Message from Owner

This is my son’s cat. He is from Springfield and took him to the vet in Ozark. She made a mess in her carrier as he was taking her out of the carrier He tried to clean it up when se bolted. Her buddy Bandit is missing her terribly. They were both feral cats and from generational litters. We’ve been looking for over 24 hrs. She’s over 10 miles from her . The vet backs into Laurel Hills Subdivision. If spotted please notify the vet at or messenger me. Thank you!

Still holding on to a chance that someone has seen her and she can come home. It’s been almost a month.

If Bella is normally an INSIDE cat... then she is definitely scared and hiding and you will need to go out at NIGHT with a flashlight and look for her “glowing” eyes. She is VERY CLOSE to your house… most likely in YOUR OWN YARD. They usually find a hiding spot very quickly and very close to where they escaped. Look up in the trees and check under everything in YOUR YARD first… under decks, under sheds, inside bushes, wood piles and storm drains. Then check your neighbors yards. They are very good at hiding. THE BEST TIME TO FIND HER IS AT NIGHT WITH A FLASHLIGHT AND HER EYES WILL “GLOW” BACK AT YOU. Bella is so scared, she will NOT respond to you calling her, so you'll have to use your eyes instead of your ears to find her. When cats are suddenly outside, they go into "survival mode" and their entire personality changes. They will NOT wander. They find a hiding spot very close by and are very scared and will not come out for anyone... even their owners. I hope you find your fur-baby very soon!

If your cat is an indoor cat, it will be scared and won’t come when called. Try placing their used litter outside. At night, use a flashlight to check under your and your neighbors' bushes and decks for the reflection of your cat's eyes. Additionally, consider setting up a humane trap as soon as possible, as it's one of the most effective methods for finding lost cats. You can bait the trap with strong-smelling sardines. These traps can be purchased at local hardware stores or borrowed from animal shelters. While this approach might seem drastic, remember that lost pets often enter survival mode and behave differently. Be sure to research how to use a humane trap effectively. Make sure to visit local animal shelters in person and look for your missing kitty, and post flyers within a one-mile radius of where your kitty went missing. There are also many valuable resources available online if you search for "how to find your missing cat." Important Note: Be cautious of scåmmers who may claim they have found your cat or offer drøne services. It's best not to engage with them.

Debbie Bonacker thank you for the info. Since she bolted at the vets office 10 miles away from her home, we just continue to go back and forth hanging out in Ozark. We’ve left her scented items in a trailer where she had hidden under at one point of time next to the veterinary clinic’s neighbor. Praying for a miracle that she’ll trust someone to help her find her way back to us.
