UPDATE‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ Update‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ I FOUND WHAT HAPPENED TO STAR 🥺after looking closely to my camera the COYOTE GOT HER, she fights the coyote maybe she’s hurt hiding somewhere which I will start to look for her today. But PLEASE NO MORE OUTDOOR CATS! IF YOU LOVE YOUR BABY PLEASE BRING THEM INSIDE. I was not totally aware that a coyote might be around this area. I was so ignorant to the situation and I feel soooooo bad. 3 days ago i got super depressed and I started drinking In front of my home and got wasted but 3 butterflies came to me and I instantly knew it was my 3 babies that I lost this month including Star, I’m very spiritual and I do know they communicate when animals or humans pass away. I still have the faith I’ll find her hiding somewhere 😭

Diana Ellis thank you so much! Se was an outdoor and indoor cat, she’s known this area for more than 2 years, I created a flyer to pass around and some neighbors knew her. 😞 I have drove many times around where she would likely be but I been having no luck. I was about to make her only indoor this past week due to her age already, but she hasn’t been around since Saturday. I think someone might took her in and it’s giving her lots of love and I hope for that and that nothing bad happened to her 😞. I took her to her vet recently to put her up to date and she did fine then 3 weeks later this happen. 😞 thank you so much for the information and for helping. If there’s more i can do I’ll gladly follow more instructions. 🙏

Star is a beautiful tuxedo cat with heterochromia — I’m sorry she is lost. Did Star escape a fence, enclosure, or the home, or is she allowed to roam freely? Her familiarity with the environment will dictate how to find her. Escaped indoor cats usually hide close by but are too frightened to return or respond when called; while a cat that knows her way around may have become stuck somewhere and needs help getting home. I have recovered many lost cats and assisted others so if you tell me about Star I can provide complete instructions that may help. Please understand an escaped cat will be fearful and hide close to home so if you search, TIPTOE SILENTLY during the DAYTIME ONLY (no calling or shaking treats) or do just the right things and she may emerge when it's dark and quiet to sneak back inside. This usually happens within the first few nights so until I hear back from you please implement this strategy if Star got out accidentally: AT DUSK crack open your fence gate or enclosure door, if applicable, then lay a familiar blanket or worn teeshirt flat on the doorstep where she got out (don't use a litter box, bed, trap, or anything conspicuous) along with a bowl of food. Call her softly to provide a familiar sound and direction (she won't come on command) then watch from inside (DO NOT GO BACK OUTSIDE OVERNIGHT!) and if you see Star approach and settle on the food be careful not to startle her. Slowly and quietly provide a clear path inside and she may put an end to the crisis herself. If you can't wait up set an alarm and watch again just before sunrise -- it's a popular time. Also, although some will suggest putting out kitty's litter box, experts say DON’T DO IT. I've never used one in all the times I've been successful recovering a lost cat. Please read this to learn more about why it's neither necessary nor recommended: https://www.facebook.com/notes/lost-cats-georgia/why-we-dont-recommend-putting-your-lost-cats-litter-box-outside/1101245526665296/

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Mainly their litter box and sprinkle their used litter around the yard as they'll recognize the smell and it'll deter other animals from coming around. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one and to check their cameras in case they appeared on them to get a sense of direction they could be. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.
