Try lostmydoggie.com they have a service that sends out a lost pet alert to the phones in your area with a description and your phone number. There is a fee, but that’s how I found my cat. If you can print out flyers, give some to your mail carriers, and your neighbors and put them on their porches as well as on telephone holes. Also give some to the animal shelters and the veterinarians offices. If there are businesses nearby, ask if you can put a flyer in the window.💔🙏

Wendy Maria You may want to reach out to Ultimutt Dog Rescue and Recovery they are a legitimate and local pet recovery out of Stroudsburg. Here is the Quick Action Plan for lost dogs from Buddha Dog Rescue and Recovery. https://www.buddhadogrescueandrecovery.com/pages/quick-action-plan And other helpful links from Buddha containing information on flyers, survival mode, feeding stations, etc Good luck and prayers you find your lost dog soon. https://www.jotform.com/app/bdrr/lost-pet-portal Just some suggestions Hoping you find your pup soon Grill some very smelly meats such as bacon, liquid smoke, BBQ sauce to try to entice him to come home. If you don’t have a grill, put some food in a crock pot and put it outside. Spread some liquid smoke(found in the BBQ sauce area at the grocery store)around the yard. If you have a security camera, put the food out in view of them so you know if he is coming around. ♦️If you use PM, make sure you check requests from others who are not on your friend list. If you feel comfortable and can handle all the scam texts you will get, adding a contact number is helpful and quicker for immediate sightings. If you posted to Pawboost, make sure you check your post and pawboost email. ♦️Check with neighbors in case they found your dog and took them in. ♦️Check security cameras and ask neighbors to do so also. ♦️POST FLIERS ASAP, not everyone uses social media. ♦️Please contact police and file a missing dog report. If you live in a development that has security/public safety- notify them. Contact your HOA(Homeowners Association) if you have one, they can send out a mass email alert. Contact vets and shelters. Most have Facebook pages you can message. ♦️ When looking for a lost dog-do not yell. Dogs on the run are very scared and can go into survival mode. When they hear yelling, even from their owner, they think they are in trouble. Even the best trained dogs will run. It is best to talk calmly for him in a playful or baby talk way. When driving around, by the time the dog hears you and gets to where you were, you are gone, hence confusing the dog even more. ♦️Please do not post sighting locations on Facebook and request people to not chase or call out to the dog and to only phone in/text/PM sightings to owner or pet recovery. ♦️Post to Facebook groups from your development. ♦️Try posting on the NextDoor app and Craigslist. ♦️Let the mail carriers/school bus drivers know to be on the lookout. ♦️Older dogs/disabled dogs usually travel downhill and towards water. Check embankments and ditches. Check near any heat sources, under decks, sheds, ect. ♦️If you have another dog, try using her/him to find the missing dog. ♦️Could be hiding scared under a porch/deck/drain pipe- anywhere a dog could find shelter. ♦️Place some unwashed owners clothing outside for scent ♦️Start cooking some tasty treats on an outdoor grill, slow cooker. Hot dogs, bacon work well. Also Liquid Smoke. Can also throw some cut up hot dogs in the yard, bacon drippings, liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce.. Use bacon drippings, cut up hot dogs and spread them along with some liquid smoke. ♦️Check water areas including swimming pools. In colder weather, lakes, ponds and rivers can have thin ice. Dogs can not determine the ice is thin and can fall through it. ♦️Contact microchip company if microchipped. Make sure your contact info is up to date. ♦️Contact a drone service. They use thermal imaging that can help locate lost pets. ♦️Check with the shelters, in person, and the police in case the pup was brought to them. Also check with shelters outside your area and county. Send them information on your missing dog. ♦️ Be aware of scammers who might contact you saying they have your dog and will ask you to send them a code. Ignore them. And stay away from “instagram” pet recoveries. Also beware of some of the “drone” services. Most are scams. Don’t send anyone any money.
