Shared. If you have not already done all these things, do them NOW. If you have, do them again and go further in your search. Notify Toronto Animal Services and check their website for found cats. If he is an intact male he may have chased females in heat and have trouble finding his way back home. Leave his used used litter and some food and water in hidden places near the door he left NOW and check Very late this evening and in the morning. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot him searching for food. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5+ block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe.

If this is an indoor only cat that never goes out, look close. Indoor only cats when lost get scared and hide because it is unknown territory and usually do not come out when you call. Usually are within 3 or 4 houses . Put out something with your scent such as a piece of clothing or blanket. Call at dusk, dawn and night and shake the treats. Get in your neighbour's yards and look under decks, sheds, in trees, bushes, in garages, under vehicles and hood or anywhere they can hide. Put up lots of posters. If you are searching at night, use a flashlight as their eyes glow in the dark. https://www.google.com/url?opi=89978449&q=https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3Dg2eCoC63B9I%26xstg%3DCAMSEBUJ_b-oH-PhF0yjBgb_zzE%253D&sa=U&sqi=2&ved=2ahUKEwjghPWRqr-XAxWsK1kFHSnQLYIQwqsBegQIDxAB&usg=AOvVaw271JAYSiGD2ZdZqADmEZOM

Hoping you find this puss๐Ÿ˜•โค๏ธ Go out looking for her/him at night when itโ€™s quiet. Call and listen! for them to call back. Go down laneways etc too - they could be trapped in a garage, injured & hiding, scaredโ€ฆ Knock on doors & talk to people on the street - they may know of her/him - someone may have taken them in. Post on All Neighbourhood social media sites. Put up posters - drop as flyers in mailboxes. File a LOST report with Toronto/other Animal Services in case they end up there - continue to check their listings! Continue to call - they wonโ€™t necessarily call you. Also, check their โ€˜deceased animalsโ€™ listings ๐Ÿฅฒ โญ๏ธConsider setting a well-monitored live trap in your yard. He may be too scared to come out but may be able to be trapped.โญ๏ธ You may catch other critters that will need to be released. Keep looking! Donโ€™t give up on her/him .๐Ÿฅฐ

- [ ] The kitty is probably hiding close to home and scared. Call the kittyโ€™s name softly morning noon and night. Late at night. Rattle a treats bag. Put out toys and food and water. Rig up a cat shelter - place articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home in the shelter. Posters work. Make posters and put them up everywhere with your phone number visibly on the poster. Ask for sightings. Donโ€™t give up. Check Toronto Animal Services lost and found and strays. Report you cat missing and send a photo
