The only way a lost cat can find its way home is with its nose. They have to use their sense of smell to get home again. Put anything outside that smells like their territory. Put the pajamas you slept in outside because you probably sweated in them. Put out their food your stinky socks your smelly sneakers anything you can think of that the cat will recognize by smell. Cats usually stay within a five house radius of their own home for up to a week or so sleeping in the bushes during the day and coming out at dusk and dawn. Those are good times to take a walk shaking the treat bag calling out but cats also tend to come out and walk around very late at night. Try to keep a door cracked if you can whether it's the garage or whatever or a window cracked so you can hear them if they call out for you. Put this on all of the neighborhood pages as well as lost and found pets sites. Knock on the neighbors doors and make sure they know you're looking for your cat. Good luck PS cats can smell up to one mile away from their own house. Absolutely no litterbox outside or food. It attracts predators is why. Never give up.

Cats don't go far when they are lost. They find a little hidey-hole and hunker down, then come out at night to look for food. Put out food to attract him and if possible get a cheap camera to keep an eye on the food bowl. Whenever I have known of a cat that was recovered, it was never far away. I've been able to help with several of those rescues, when I have seen a cat that behaved like a pet. On the other hand, if someone took a fancy to him, he may be inside or far away and you'll just have to imagine him having a good life. It does happen! Try not to imagine the worst, think of all the good scenarios instead. 😺 Cats are survivors, far better at taking care of themselves than we imagine.

Physically check P Adams and ACC often, they are busy, take a pic with you. ACC can be quick to euthanize.

Put smelly wet food outside, hav a hart traps work, check them often. At night shine a flashlight you may catch reflection of his eyes. Check shed, garages, under cars, anyplace he could hide or be stuck. Put up flyers, especially at vet offices. Talk to neighbors, ask if they have security cameras that may catch him walking by. They tend to move early morning and evenings. Put out used litter and fav humans worn clothes, familiar smells help bring them in. If possible, leave a patio or garage door open so he can get in. Contact rescues & county shelters, take a pic. Physically check county shelter often, they are busy. She will be very scared & may go into survival mode, she may not respond to you. Some wait until they're starving to come out for food. Keep food/trap out & check often. If you have another cat, try putting them outside in a SECURE carrier. Their meows may call the lost one in. Pray. Don't give up!

Cook chicken on the grill..put catnip outside. Play YouTube videos of kittens crying and shine a laser cat toy around the bushes.
