Message from Owner

Our new dog, Riot got away from us today 6/12 around 5pm on the corner of 21st and Highland Avenue in Mount Penn, PA. He may still have a harness and leash on or he may have slipped out of that by now. He was running down Highland Avenue and and possibly the woods when we lost track of him. He’s very timid and was not answering to his name. If anyone sees him, please text me at.

UPDATED: Still Missing 7/13/26. REWARD FOR SAFE RETURN At this point, it's been a month since Riot has been missing. Unfortunately, I don't have a sense of any general area he may be in. If he was still on the run, I would think there would be more sightings (even unconfirmed ones). Someone could have taken him in. I hope that he someday makes it to a shelter or vet so that he can be checked for a microchip and make his way back home. I'm so very grateful to my neighborhood, community, and larger Westie community for the support over this month. Thank you to everyone that has that taken the time to keep an eye out for him, call me with sightings, share this post, and of course for everyone that has kept him in your thoughts and prayers. And especially the group of volunteers at Berks Dog Search for providing your services, time, advice and being here for the community.

UPDATED: Still Missing 7/6/26. REWARD FOR SAFE RETURN Possible sighting 7/6 in the Oak Lane area. If you're in that area, please keep an eye out. I drove around this morning after I got the call, but could not locate a dog. Also, I've been getting a lot of calls about a dog often seen at the intersection of Perkiomen Avenue, Chestnut, and Mineral Springs. I added a picture of this dog. This dog is NOT Riot. If you do see a dog resembling Riot, please do not approach, do not chase, and do not call out to him. Scared dogs can run very quickly when people try to help. Please call 610-764-4957 as soon as possible with exact location, time seen, and direction of travel. We need sightings! PLEASE TRY TO GET A PICTURE SO WE CAN HAVE A CONFIRMED SIGHTING! He could be in any of the surrounding areas of Mt Penn, Exeter, Antietam, Reading, or farther by now. If you're in the area, please check cameras, sheds, garages, under decks, tree lines, etc anywhere a small dog could hide. For your info, Riot is a Westie. Like the dog on the Cesar dog food package! He's about 18-20 lbs; maybe 10-12 inches tall; he's got small pointed ears; he's pure white but might be dirty at this point. He is no longer in his harness/leash. It could be possible that someone took Riot in and has kept him. They may be thinking they are doing a good thing, not realizing that Riot has a family searching for him. If you know of any neighbors or acquaintances that recently adopted an adult Westie please do not hesitate to reach out. There is a REWARD FOR SAFE RETURN. (Dear scammers, please do not contact asking for money before I have the dog in my presence. I will not send the reward without possession of Riot.) Please spread the word! I've included the posters and cards that I've been putting up and handing out if you feel like you'd like to post something in your neighborhood. Thank you! We so appreciate all of the support we've received from the community! ORIGINAL POST: Our new dog, Riot got away from us 6/12 around 5pm on the corner of 21st and Fairview Avenue in Mount Penn. He is no longer in his harness and collar. There have been sighings of him around Highland Avenue and Neversink Mountain. He’s very timid and scared. If you see him, it's very important not to chase him. We don't want him getting father away and want to keep him in the area so we can lead him to food and a trap. If anyone sees him, please text me at 610-764-4957. And please share this with people you know that live in the Reading, Mount Penn, Antietam, and Exeter areas. Thank you!

Tina Orlando Unfortunately, no. There were a two possible sightings yesterday in the Mount Penn area, but when we went to the area we could not find a dog. We've put up more posters and are hoping people call with sightings and pictures.
