Message from Owner

Please help me locate my baby girl, Ichigo. She's been with me for over two years and is very close to me. I drove eight hours to adopt her. She answers when I call and gets so excited every time she hears me walk through the door. My experienced a hot water tank fire, and Ichigo escaped. She was terrified of the fire trucks and is likely still terrified, hungry, and wanting her brother, Valentine, and her human mom. I saw her a day later but have failed to locate her today. I tried to save her from the smoke and fire, but I lost her. Please help return her to me safely. I will be out every day searching.

Posted on Lost and Found birds of the US. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17b4SkAZqK/?mibextid=wwXIfr We are so sorry to hear your bird is missing. Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*
