Description

Black Cat, some of his coat looks reddish brown due to sun exposure This is Bagheera, my sweet boy. He’s been missing two weeks today. He’s an old boy, almost 14 years old. He’s never wondered off in eleven years; but I had my hse tented for termites, so I think due to all the commotion, he got scared and disoriented. He’s been gone since that day. We live on N L St. between 9th and 10th. Please, if anyone in the vicinity has noticed or notices a black cat show up, contact me. He’s shy but very sweet and vocal. Never fights and is neutered. He has some nerve damage around his mouth, so his lip droops a bit and his tongue hangs out sometimes. And he’s a big boy although he has recently lost weight. He may be a little hard of hearing. He’s beautiful and I miss him dearly…I can’t stop worrying. Out of all of my animals, he’s been with me the most years. Bagheera come home.

~~~Give a copy of the picture with information to the mailman in the area… They encounter many people & situation… Put a sign with information & picture in your front yard if you can & @ stop signs… For found animals Please take him to check for a microchip it’s free @ any Vet,Pet store etc. … Always get your animal microchipped, it gives a better chance of being reunited… There is always the possibility that a neighbor may have taken your “Fur~Baby” in thinking it was abandoned… Report any animal missing or found to your local dog pound… PetCo has free software that uses photo recognition to match your photo to photos from rescues and shelters…
Ask neighbors to check ring cameras... post everywhere, at local schools and supermarket and gas station everywhere 🙏
Physically check P Adams and ACC often, they are busy, take a pic with you. ACC can be quick to euthanize.
Put smelly wet food outside, hav a hart traps work, check them often. At night shine a flashlight you may catch reflection of his eyes. Check shed, garages, under cars, anyplace he could hide or be stuck. Put up flyers, especially at vet offices. Talk to neighbors, ask if they have security cameras that may catch him walking by. They tend to move early morning and evenings. Put out used litter and fav humans worn clothes, familiar smells help bring them in. If possible, leave a patio or garage door open so he can get in. Contact rescues & county shelters, take a pic. Physically check county shelter often, they are busy. She will be very scared & may go into survival mode, she may not respond to you. Some wait until they're starving to come out for food. Keep food/trap out & check often. If you have another cat, try putting them outside in a SECURE carrier. Their meows may call the lost one in. Pray. Don't give up!
