Please don’t give up—stay out there and keep looking for your dog. ❤️ The first 24 hours can be especially important, so please stay diligent and keep searching. If possible, have someone slowly drive around while someone else walks the area. Talk to everyone you come across—neighbors, people walking their dogs, mail carriers, delivery drivers, and anyone else who may have seen your dog. Check several blocks in every direction, and keep going back to areas where your dog may have been spotted. My own dog got loose about four years ago, and it took us nine hours to find her. We stayed out searching in the freezing cold February weather, and we finally found her at 2 AM. Thankfully, she was OK. I will always be grateful that we didn’t give up. If your dog is squeaky-ball motivated, try bringing a squeaky ball with you and using it while searching. Sometimes that familiar sound can encourage a scared dog to come out of hiding. And one more option that people sometimes overlook: look into local drone search companies. There are reputable companies that specialize in helping locate lost pets. Google companies in your area, read their reviews, and find one you feel comfortable with. Most importantly, don’t lose hope. Keep looking, keep calling, and keep believing your baby can still be found. 🙏🐾❤️
