I'm sorry your sweet girl is missing. I hope this helps you reunite with your Moxy. I posted this on ND on 06-30-26. There are so many folks posting about their lost/missing pets. So sad. I hope this may help those who are searching for their lost pets, give them some direction and places to start. *If your pet is missing, please do these things first: Notify the chip company that they are missing/make sure all your contact information is UTD. Turn in LOST PET REPORTS (with picture and chip info) to all: police, animal control, vets, emergency animal hospitals, shelters/humanes, rescues, sitters/boarders, and groomers. Please post as missing and search the Found posts on at least these sites: 24petconnect.com, Pawboost.com, Petcolovelost.org, pawmaw.com, petfbi.org, lostmydoggie.com or lostmykitty.com, all local lost/found sites, and all social media. Please search LOST PET BEHAVIOR. It is so important to think like them now. Animals in survival mode often act differently than their usual. Some folks may not have social media or even internet. Best to use old school methods as well. Newspaper ads. Going door to door. Posters/flyers: Make up tons of both. Posters should be laminated so the weather doesn't harm them. Put posters up all over neighborhood/area & check on them daily as people will take them down. Flyers: hand out face to face w/ conversation, to all: neighbors, postal/paper carriers, joggers, dog walkers, kids/teens, delivery drivers of all kinds, bus, taxi, Uber/Lyft drivers. Landscapers. All persons who have a route/ine in the area. They notice animals. In the case of a missing dog, please contact Babs Fry (619) 249-2221 & awayhomefordogs.com. She is an expert in dog recovery. She's also on Youtube. She is in California, but helps people from all over. She works for free, and can help you customize your search, what to do, and what not to do for the specific circumstances. In the case of a missing cat, please contact Damia Koti (650) 339-6619 happycatlady.com. She is an expert in cat recovery. She is also in California, but helps people from all over. Advises them specifically for their circumstances what to do and what not to do. *Please do not just wait for the pet to come back on its own. They may be unable to. They could be caught on something (often collars get caught), trapped in a space previously closed off, have crawled into a tight space, but cannot get back out. They could be injured or have been hit by a vehicle, poisoned, or kidnapped. Please actively investigate/search immediately. Make sure to check (and recheck) all over your property. Ask neighbors to also do so on theirs. Inside residences, and outside on the property. Inside: furniture, beds/box springs, behind appliances, inside of appliances -working or not, Heating/AC vents, crawls spaces, under cabinets, in drawers/closets, attics, basements. Outside: under houses, porches/decks, ditches, drainpipes, barns, garages, storage sheds, utility sheds, trees/bushes, fences, rooftops, cellars. With the weather being so nice now, it's possible that animals were curious and got inside something that was previously locked up, then got trapped in it. Remember to check all vehicles, boats, trailers, campers, all places they may find protection. Where would they find water, food, shelter, and possibly companionship? Any friendly neighbors they may visit? Any waterways nearby? Cat feeding stations? Restaurant dumpsters/garbage cans? Surveillance. Check yours and ask neighbors and nearby businesses to do the same. You may wish to use trail cameras and live humane traps. Almost everything is caught on video now. Again, search LOST PET BEHAVIOR. It's so important to think like them, understand how they will act. These are general search tips and not all may apply in your situation. Search at night w/ a flashlight (eyes will glow). Check up in trees and inside/under things in your yard and up to 4 - 5 houses away. Search garages, sheds, under decks and bushes, in crawl spaces, behind AC units - any place the cat might be trapped or hiding. Many cats go into hiding mode for safety and won't come when they hear their owner's voice but try calling and try either shaking a can/bag of treats or carrying an open (smelly) can of cat food or fish. Put something w/ the cat's scent on the porch (cat bed, scratching post, sofa pillows). Keep your garage door up enough to allow entry. Keep fresh bowls of water out. Put up large missing cat posters (neon poster board works well), talk to neighbors (leave info for those not home), post on all local social media groups and make sure to check with local animal control at least once a week (better to go in person but at least call and send them a photo). If not found at night with a flashlight, go out during early morning, before dawn, as many cats are active around that time. If not found in a few days, you can always buy a humane cat trap but traps *must* be checked multiple times each day, every day. If the cat is microchipped, please make sure the chip company has your updated contact information. And even if the cat has a chip, you still need to check with animal control as chips sometimes are overlooked or migrate down. Please search often and don't give up hope.

Make flyers and put them on every door in the neighborhood I got my cat back that way
