He went out back, I went inside to open garage door and came back and he was gone! He’s absolutely terrified of everything. He took off into the woods we think. We don’t have a fence across the back, we are renting. This has never happened. He is microchipped no collar or tags unfortunately. He’s terrified of his own shadow and loud noises

~~~Give a copy of the picture with information to the mailman in the area… They encounter many people & situation… Put a sign with information & picture in your front yard if you can & @ stop signs… For found animals Please take him to check for a microchip it’s free @ any Vet,Pet store etc. … Always get your animal microchipped, it gives a better chance of being reunited… There is always the possibility that a neighbor may have taken your “Fur~Baby” in thinking it was abandoned… Report any animal missing or found to your local dog pound… PetCo has free software that uses photo recognition to match your photo to photos from rescues and shelters…

We've been successful in putting clothes and blankets with our scent in outside on porches and sidewalks. Hope your furbaby gets home soon.

Please check animal shelters in person. Don’t rely on phone calls. They only hold them 5 days.

We did contact a few people who own the land behind the neighborhood and he went with us to walk and yell for the dog. Hopefully someone has him. I’m at a loss and my kids are a total wreck. He’s been adopted for only a year with us. This has never happened, he’s terrified of everything and most of the time won’t even go outside.
