Have you seen Hobbz? OK community, we’re about to start a where is Waldo game. This is Hobbz. He went to a pet sitter in Scotts Valley, way out by Glenwood, and got out. He has not been seen in a few days and has not come back for food. He really does not like cars or humans. I’m a little afraid he’s trying to find his way back to Santa Cruz and his partner Callie (black kitty in the picture. They came and have spent years together) . I have walked, called and drove from the top of sand hill, about half way down to the Salvation Army camp on Bean creek. Drive the rest. No signs of him. He will usually come if he hears me. Please reach out if you have any sightings on cameras. If you live in the area and could put out a water bowl, it would be appreciated. He is really smart and I’m hoping he found the water below. He does love other animals and might have found a barn at one of the equestrian farms. Please spread the word. Even with 3 legs he is super fast and a survivor! Here a Facebook page I created for him.

Cathy Mucke Harber he is a feral cat that rescued me . So he is well acquainted with living in the wild. He needs outdoor access. He was probably going crazy in the house.

Carol Taylor DiPietro I walked the neighborhood yelling. Covered a few miles yesterday. I’m about to go back out today. Went from the top of sand hill down Glenwood and then down to the Salvation Army camp on Bean Creek . In the five years, I have had him, he has hardly let anybody else. I doubt he is going to go to anybody except for me. I’m hoping somebody will catch him on their camera

If you haven’t done so already, post On Nextdoor. In the meantime, you need to be out calling your cat. Call loudly, stop and listen and call again and again. If necessary, expand your search. When cats get scared, they can run really fast. Keep calling and make sure that you’re calling loud enough so if your kitty is asleep in someone’s backyard, trapped in a garage, storage shed, tall tree or rooftop, there’s enough time for them to recognize your voice and respond. Don’t give up, but be persistent. This has been successful for me on the few occasions that an indoor only cat got outside.
