Please put some of his used litter in a small container outside on the balcony for him to smell and reorient himself home. If you don’t have any used litter left, please put some of your old used clothing, with your smell on them, or anything of his with his smell on them, outside on the balcony, for the same reason. If there is a window he can jump into, leave that open for him. Check the sheds and garages in the area. Cats generally don’t tend to go too far. When it gets dark outside, go outside on the balcony and shake his favorite box of treats while calling out his name for several minutes. Do this every half hour or so for several hours every evening (and between 2 and 4 a.m.). Do it at the same place every evening so that he can orient himself towards your home. Put out posters with his picture and info around the neighborhood. Call the veterinarians in the area and bring some posters to them. Sometimes people bring strays there to see if they are chipped. Call the city and find out where they bring strays they find. Go in PERSON to the SPCA. Also check on their websites. Calling them IS NOT enough. You have to go in PERSON and often. Check the posts on Pawboost as well. People post animals they have found. Hope this helps. Hope he comes home soon.

CHAT PERDU – CONSIGNES DE BASE – TRÈS EFFICACE 1. Sortez la litière NON NETTOYÉE dehors (gardez-là à l’abris de la neige et de la pluie). Les chats ont l'odorat très développé alors ils peuvent repérer leur odeur sur une distance de 2 km. 2. Appelez votre chat très souvent à des heures régulières afin qu’il entende votre voix. Secouez aussi des gâteries pendant ce temps. Le son voyage mieux le soir étant donné qu'il y a moins de bruit dehors. 3. Avec une lampe de poche (afin de voir ses yeux briller) vérifiez sous les balcons, sous les remises et dans les haies de cèdres (cachettes parfaites pour les chats peureux). Ne prenez pas pour acquis qu’il miaulera lorsque vous l’appellerez, il se peut qu’il soit complètement apeuré, d’où l’importance de bien vérifier les cachettes possibles. 4. Demandez à vos voisins de vérifiez leur piscine ainsi que leur cabanon (certains chats ont été retrouvés coincés et même enfermés involontairement). 5. Avisez votre entourage. Plusieurs personnes ne sont pas sur les réseaux sociaux alors le bouche à-oreille et le porte-à-porte demeurent des méthodes encore très efficaces. 6. Mettez des affiches dans votre quartier (avec des photos et votre numéros de téléphone). 7. Avisez la SPCA ou le service animalier de votre région DÈS la disparition de votre animal. Certaines villes ne font pas affaire avec un service animalier. Si tel est le cas, contactez la mairie ainsi que les vétérinaires de votre région. 8. Publiez votre annonce sur plusieurs groupe d’animaux perdus ainsi que sur le Spotted de votre ville. 9. Laissez une fenêtre ouverte au cas ou il revient la nuit. Hope Obama comes home 🙏🤞😻 Here are some tips to help you find him: If your cat does not know the area or she is an indoor cat, she is likely 1 to 4 houses away and hiding. Please find below guidelines to apply to help find your cat. 1- Apply the SIMPLE METHOD immediately. If he is close the sound of your voice will help orientate him. IT WORKS when used consistently & repetitively!! The method is simple: at nightfall (after as of 9pm) and very early morning (as of 4am) go outside on your backyard balcony & front balcony and call in a calm voice, do not scream, every quarter of an hour or twenty minutes, for a full 5 minutes, and do this every half hour minimum, for a minimum of 3 hours in total, and at minimum call your cat 6 times a night & morning, and more if you wish. Also walk up and down your street up to one street over on every direction and use this method. Look under bushes, in sheds, in garages. Bring a flashlight to catch the cat’s eyes. Go back to the same places you looked over and over. 2- Go door to door and put up flyers immediately on every lamp post/community mailboxes (one street over in every direction). 3- Leave an article of your clothing (unwashed). Tie it around the fence/railing. Leave out the cat tree. Do not put out the litter box as it will attract other cats and scare your cat from coming home. You can sprinkle a tiny bit of soiled litter around your home. 4- Leave the gate of the fence open and if you can the house door the cat escaped from ( secure other animals) as most cats will come back during early morning hours (1 am to 4am). 5- Leave out very smelly food (tuna & sardines or roast chicken from the grocery store ) in the early morning and evening. Important not to leave food out all night as other animals will come. 6- If you have a camera, check it daily to see if the cat is coming around at night. If the cat is sighted by either camera, yourself or neighbors but will not come home then a good idea to borrow a humane trap.
