Message from Owner

$5,000 REWARD FOR SAFE RETURN OF BAM BAM Bam Bam is a 9-year-old Alaskan Malamute with epilepsy and alopecia. He needs his epilepsy to survive. He wandered off from home (13626 Foulk Rd.) around 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27. The AirTag attached to his collar pinged his location at 3838 Tama Rd. (1/4 mile away) at 6:15 p.m., and he was spotted on the shoulder of Tama Rd. by the Mud Creek Bridge by a driver at 6:18 p.m. The farmer who lives at 3838 Tama Rd. confirmed seeing him in his yard, said his two dogs chased Bam Bam into his grove of trees, and that he never saw him after that. Bam Bam's AirTag later pinged just to the south of the Tama Rd./Cotter Rd. intersection at 6:55 p.m. That was the last time his location (or his collar's location) updated. The farmer's son lives in the home just to the south of the Tama/Cotter Rd. intersection. The collar was later discovered 1/2 mile south of Tama Rd. on Cotter Rd. on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. It was on the gravel shoulder of the road up against the concrete lip of a culvert. The collar was still clipped together, no damage, no blood stains, tight enough so it wouldn't slip off Bam Bam's head, and there was nothing in the area for it to catch on and be pulled off. It was removed by a person and buckled back together by a person. It's been almost 5 days now since Bam Bam wandered off, and he is so missed. If you were traveling Tama Rd. just a few miles west of La Porte City between 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, I would love to speak with you. My cell is. You are so loved, Bam Bam. We will find you.

Who ever took this dog and thinks it is now theirs I want you to imagine what that would feel like if it were your child, brother, niece or nephew or anyone you love that wandered off and was stolen by someone!! I don't care if you think he is yours....he is NOT!!!! REURN HIM TO HIS FAMILY!! I can only hope that you do the right thing and if not I can only hope that one day your consequences and karma or whatever gets you in the end. This is truly a sad story that someone has the ability to turn into a happy ending.

Tricia Watson We’ve had multiple conversations with them and they’ve been nothing but cooperative throughout. They are good people who have shared everything they know about Bam Bam and where they last saw him.

Tricia Watson I would question the farmer and son more. Strange about the collar being found and buckled. I hope not, but I get the feeling that farmer used a pew pew on this poor dog.

I think I posted this comment before, but here it is, again! ** I am sure you have done some of these tips, but.maybe some are new!! ** Reported to animal control and local and surrounding area shelters? Check to see if he was seen on any neighbor's camera, and ask.if they would check their garages outbuildings and sheds!! Periodically, pets get shut in those places by accident, especially, if hiding in fear! Check with your local area vets (and beyond), to see if someone took him in, as a new client or to be checked for a chip. Dogs can travel quite far!! Put up fliers wherever/everywhere they are allowed. Don't make new posts, but rather edit, if you are continuing to share (as you should!!) because multiples get confusing!!. Check at shelters IN PERSON because just calling is NOT good enough!! Call radio stations, as they usually have a pet patrol for lost and found pets!! Put an ad in papers because not everyone has a computer, or is on FB. Join every missing pet group in, and around your area and shar to them!!..AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!
