Message from Owner

She is friendly but timid and will run if chased or approached too fast, but very food motivated! Scared of loud noise and other animals, and a pro at hiding. She slipped out around midnight last night and took off quick, so we have no idea which direction she went.

Please check nearby storm drains and sewer pipes. Vehicle engines and tire wells. Attics, closets, vents, and bats. Garages and sheds. Bushes and trees. Under buildings and porches. Search outside at dawn and dusk when it's quiet. Using a flashlight may help. Set outside your old clothes so Niko may detect a familiar scent. Good luck.

You might try a live trap, they are fairly cheap on amazon, my Jane wanted to come back but was too overwhelmed and scared, she had made a home under a backyard shed across the street and wouldnt let anyone near her. I saw she kept coming around the doors at night and if i didnt have other pets, i would have left the door cracked and that may have solved it. Eventually she was found eating hamburger in the trap on my front porch and all was right again. It took about 3 weeks for her to show up and i did have to release squirrels and possums along the way which were easy. Tuna in oil also makes a lot of scent. Make sure there's water too. If its cold out, wrap the trap in a blanket and make sure to check it often, check it often no matter what the weather is. In fact, best to keep a camera on it. I believe in Jane's case, the live trap was her only chance. Best of luck and a swift resolve for you I hope

If chipped contact your microchip company and make sure your information is updated and file a lost cat report there Some people suggest leaving a door open alittle bit may come home on there own Put something with scent there also Bedding your unwashed clothing Litter box anything that has your cats scent Cats are night creatures May try to come home early morning while dark and try to get back inside This works well Also Go outside and sit down and don't stand or walk around it scares them all they see is feet Calmly call name If likes treats shake bag and listen for meowing could be stuck in a garage or shed or under porches Check out the neighbors and let them know that your kitty is missing Check out the shelters in person and take a flyer or photo there also If all else fails put out a HUMANE trap then with wet food or tuna and cover with a towel to keep calm and warm if caught and check it out every 2hours and don't leave overnight unattended You can face the entrance of the trap towards a window or door to keep a better eye on it Prayers sent 🙏 Flyers everywhere
