The cat is very friendly probably about a year old. He has an injured front left leg . We have brought him into the checked at the veterinarian. He seems fine

I was told by the vet to keep him away from my cat which he is. However an animal rescue person I know said I don't have to worry so much about disease since my cat is fully vaccinated when I got her. So we will see how it goes and I will see if somebody turns up that owns this little guy. By the way we have decided that his name is Blake

Tina Magnuson Hi Tina, we brought him to VIRG, EMERGENCY vet right away. In fact I spent over $1,000 to make sure that his leg was x-rayed. I wanted to see if it was broken and if he needed treatment. It seems to be congenital. They also tested him for feline triple HW, FELV and FIV snap. We are fairly new at this. But I was told to get the neighbor app? I will do diligence to find if there is an owner who didn't just abandon him. It seemed though that he was abandoned. They checked him for chip and he didn't have a chip. Right now he is safe and purring after eating like a little pig lol. We are torn about keeping him. It depends on my cat and that I have already.

Thanks for bringing inside to safety, food and water. Can you take it to a vet to scan for chip? The vet may also recognize the kitty and be able to contact its owners. Check with other local vets as well and contact the police. Also post fliers. And beware of bad actors!!! Also keep checking Nextdoor and Pawboost for cats found in and near your zip code.
