Unknown is Missing in Fair Oaks, VA

Description

We've had no sightings of the kitty two weeks after he was last seen. We've had signs up all over the neighborhood, but unfortunately they were all taken down after Jan 4. We're working on getting new ones up. We have learned from the folks who originally found him that he has white paws, but no other distinguishing markings. If anyone has working cellular trail cameras they can lend me to put in storm drains or lock to trees, I'd appreciate the loan. We have 5 cell cams out now and are moving them every few days. It is believed that a 4 to 5 month old orange kitten was abandoned on the Rocky Run Valley Stream Trail between Route 50 and Tall Timbers Drive on December 22, 2025. A couple tried to capture the cat but it escaped and they chased it up the hillside to Tall Timbers Drive and Oak Village Landing, where it disappeared. Unfortunately, we do not have a better photo of the kitten. We’ve had a few sightings of an orange cat, but it seems to be much larger than the size the couple believes this kitten is. We have flyers up all over that community, are in touch with the Ring camera community as well as have multiple cameras in different storm drain locations, but have not had any confirmed sightings of this kitten. There was a cardboard adoption box/carrier about 10 feet away from the kitten when it was initially spotted, hence our belief that this kitten was dumped.
