You can purchase a trap from Tractor Supply or Home Depot or Amazon or see if you can borrow or rent one from a local rescue or TNR group. Put a piece of your clothing with your scent on it inside and some wet food and set the trap and cover it with a towel (they feel more secure hidden) and monitor it.🙏❣️ remember kitties are naturally nocturnal, so they will hide during the day and move at night time looking for a food source or trying to get home. This is when most of us are sleeping. That's why the trap is ideal. Monitor it very frequently and early in the morning. If you catch a critter go ahead and release it and wash the trap and reset. They leave a smell behind which may deter your baby from going in. If you catch another kitty, you can always take it to a local vet or shelter for a free chip check and you might be able to help return someone else's missing baby home.♥️ also get a big sign in the front yard so in case someone does have or sees this baby and does not see this post, they can contact the owner that way. Also get lots of signs posted in the neighborhood. Keep checking on your local county FB group pages. You can search the group by "cat" to see all the cat posts only💗

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Mainly their litter box and sprinkle their used litter around the yard as they'll recognize the smell and it'll deter other animals from coming around. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one and to check their cameras in case they appeared on them to get a sense of direction they could be. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

Put smelly wet food outside, hav a hart traps work, check them often. At night shine a flashlight you may catch reflection of his eyes. Check shed, garages, under cars, anyplace he could hide or be stuck. Put up flyers, especially at vet offices. Talk to neighbors, ask if they have security cameras that may catch him walking by. They tend to move early morning and evenings. Put out used litter and fav humans worn clothes, familiar smells help bring them in. If possible, leave a patio or garage door open so he can get in. Contact rescues & county shelters, take a pic. Physically check county shelter often, they are busy. She will be very scared & may go into survival mode, she may not respond to you. Some wait until they're starving to come out for food. Keep food/trap out & check often. If you have another cat, try putting them outside in a SECURE carrier. Their meows may call the lost one in. Pray. Don't give up!

Post on Nextdoor.com, ring.com and in Margate Neighbors, Margate Florida Residents, Margate Florida Residents, Margate, FL Residents & Friends, Margate, FL Lost & Found Pets - Dogs / Cats, Coral Springs-Parkland-Coconut Creek-Margate-Community Forum, Lost and Found Pets of Broward and Miami Dade Counties, Lost and Found PETS of SE Florida - Broward, Dade & Palm Beach County's and Lost Pets of Broward, Dade and Palm Beach Counties. Contact Broward County Animal Care and Margate Animal Control and report him lost and post fliers in your neighborhood on all major intersections, supermarkets, pet stores and veterinary offices. Report him lost to the county. You can do it online at www.24petconnect.com or by emailing ACADFoundPets@Broward.org. Go to the shelter in person and check their website daily for new intakes. Let all your neighbors know he's missing and ask them to check their garages and sheds. Cats often hide during the day. At dusk and dawn walk around the neighborhood, shake a container with treats and call his name. Take a flashlight and look in bushes and hiding places. If possible, leave a door, window or the garage door cracked in case he comes back during the night. Let UFAR Animal Rescue in Margate know that he's missing in case someone finds him and takes him there. I hope you find him soon! https://www.broward.org/Animal/Pages/LostAndFound.aspx https://www.pawboost.com/blog/how-to-recognize-and-avoid-the-lost-pet-scam/?utm_source=Pinterest&utm_medium=organic
