Description

My cockatiel has the classic and iconic coloration known as the Normal Gray (or wild-type) mutation. Body: Primarily medium-gray, with a white stripe running down the edge of the wings. Head and Face: A bright yellow face mask paired with a grayish-yellow crest. Cheek Patches: Distinct, round, reddish-orange patches on the cheeks.

My bird instantly startled and bolted out, quickly flying away when it heard a noise. My cockatiel circled and screeched in the air not far from the front door after it flew out of the hse. He tried to fly back but failed due to the wind. Sooner, It flew out of sign and I could no longer hear it. I have been searching for it in my residential complex every evening before dark. But I haven’t found it.

Xiaoqi owner I know you may have done some of this already but putting all out here..🙏 IF banded on leg, keep the imprint info confidential, it will ID you as rightful owner proof ‼️Put cage, perch, carrier (what’s familiar)out to see with food and water and treats toy etc‼️ This is cage without any other birds inside. Set in safe place. - tell neighbors to check their bird feeders and water sources [pools, ponds] carports , etc. These birds can fly, so make sure you do a 35 mile radius of posting in l n f pet groups. Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*
